Hello and welcome to our site. Information and communications play key roles in our relationships with our patients and our professional community, so this seems a natural progression in our practice development. We will strive to provide you with current, state-of-the-art information whether you are just browsing, a prospective or current patient, or a healthcare professional in the dental or medical community. This is, and will continue to be, a work in progress.
Periodontics, as a dental specialty, is officially defined as "that specialty of dentistry which encompasses the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of the supporting and surrounding structures of the teeth and their substitutes; and the replacement of lost teeth and supporting structures by grafting or implantation of natural and synthetic devices and materials". In other words, we help people live better by preserving or improving oral health, esthetics, and function. Most of our patients come to us by referral from a dental or medical professional. But professional referral is not required for a visit to our practice. We believe very strongly that your choice of healthcare professionals is an important freedom.
